Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Description

Xometry is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to advance its machine learning capabilities. This role involves working within a team where AI drives the core business strategy. The successful candidate will have significant ownership of their work and a commitment to continuous learning and coding.This individual will contribute to the Xometry platform and its impact.What This Role Involves:

• Exploring new machine learning opportunities.
• Researching and performing proof of concepts.
• Implementing ML models to improve cost, price, and sourcing predictions.
• Evaluating emerging technologies.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshooting issues.

Requirements:

• Experience with state-of-the-art ML modeling techniques (transformers, LLMs, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, Tensorflow).
• Experience in large-scale data processing.
• Proficiency in cloud-native software development with containers and distributed systems.
• Strong software fundamentals (design patterns, refactoring, OOP, testing).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
• Comfort working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience building and consuming CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with command-line interfaces and *nix systems.
• 5+ years working experience in the engineering teams.
• US Citizenship or Green Card holder (ITAR).
