Senior Manager, ML Engineering

Job Description

Xometry is seeking a Senior Manager of Machine Learning Engineering to oversee ML Engineering efforts focused on productionizing and deploying ML models. This role is central to predicting manufacturing costs and determining optimal pricing.

The Senior Manager will manage a team of engineers while also being hands-on in the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models and systems. This role requires strong leadership and technical expertise to help to drive continuous improvement in engineering practices within Xometry.

Role involves:

• Leading and mentoring a team of machine learning engineers
• Leading the productionization of ML models
• Designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models and systems
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Developing and maintaining ML Ops pipelines

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on machine learning
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a management role
• Strong understanding of machine learning frameworks, tools, and libraries
• Experience with ML Ops practices
• Proficiency in software engineering practices
• Experience with cloud platforms and distributed computing
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
