Job Description
Xometry is seeking a Senior Manager of Machine Learning Engineering to lead the productionization and deployment of ML models. This role involves overseeing ML Engineering efforts to predict manufacturing costs and optimize pricing. The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
The Senior Manager will manage a team of machine learning engineers, providing guidance on best practices in ML Ops, infrastructure, and software engineering. They will lead the productionization of ML models and their deployment to quickly iterate on ML at the core of Xometry's business. They will collaborate with data scientists, product managers, software engineers, and stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing a team of machine learning engineers.
- Leading the productionization of ML models and their deployment.
- Being hands-on in the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models and systems.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Developing and maintaining ML Ops pipelines.
- Implementing and managing infrastructure for large-scale data processing.
- Driving continuous improvement in engineering practices.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in machine learning.
- Managing project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
- Fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on machine learning, ML Ops, and infrastructure.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role.
- Strong understanding of machine learning frameworks, tools, and libraries.
- Experience with ML Ops practices.
- Proficiency in software engineering practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms and distributed computing.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder (ITAR)
