Xometry is seeking a Senior Manager of Machine Learning Engineering to oversee ML Engineering efforts in productionizing and deploying ML models. This role is central to the company's business, focusing on predicting manufacturing costs and determining optimal pricing. The ideal candidate should have experience and be able to solve interesting and challenging technical problems.

The Senior Manager will lead a team of machine learning engineers, providing mentorship and guidance on ML Ops, infrastructure, and software engineering best practices. They will also be hands-on in the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models and systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing a team of machine learning engineers.
• Overseeing the productionization of ML models.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project requirements.
• Developing and maintaining ML Ops pipelines.
• Managing infrastructure for large-scale data processing.
• Driving continuous improvement in engineering practices.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on machine learning.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a management role.
• Strong understanding of machine learning frameworks and tools.
• Experience with ML Ops practices.
• Proficiency in software engineering practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms and distributed computing.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder (ITAR)
