Xometry is seeking a Senior Manager of Machine Learning Engineering to lead the productionization and deployment of ML models. This role is crucial for predicting manufacturing costs and optimizing pricing strategies. The Senior Manager will manage a team of ML engineers, providing guidance on best practices and actively contributing to the development and deployment of machine learning systems. The position requires strong leadership and technical expertise, fostering innovation and collaboration within the team.
Role involves:
- Leading and mentoring a team of machine learning engineers.
- Overseeing the productionization and deployment of ML models.
- Designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models and systems.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project requirements.
- Developing and maintaining ML Ops pipelines.
- Managing infrastructure for data processing, model training, and inference.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on machine learning.
- Minimum of 3 years in a management role.
- Strong understanding of machine learning frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience with ML Ops practices and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Proficiency in software engineering practices and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- US Citizen or Green Card holder (ITAR).
