Xometry is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Machine Learning Platform Engineering team. This role focuses on developing and expanding the core infrastructure that supports Xometry's AI/ML products. The engineer will collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to design and deliver AI/ML infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and release software and infrastructure for AI/ML and experimentation workflows.
- Participate in code reviews and write documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers.
- Deploy services into AWS and Kubernetes environments.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies to identify opportunities for growth.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software or machine learning engineering experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Understanding of software engineering fundamentals (security, scalability, asynchronous programming, transactions)
- Experience developing in Python and Terraform for AWS.
- Experience deploying infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Experience with software engineering principles.
