Sr. Machine Learning Engineer

Job Description

Xometry is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to enhance its machine learning capabilities. The role involves working within a skilled team where AI is central to the company's core business strategy. You will have a crucial role in the Xometry platform. This role is fully remote.

Responsibilities:

• Exploring new machine learning opportunities and conducting proof of concepts.
• Developing and implementing machine learning models to improve cost, price, and sourcing predictions.
• Evaluating emerging technologies and identifying areas for improvement.
• Ensuring the reliability and scalability of Xometry’s platform.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define technical solutions.
• Monitoring machine learning model performance and troubleshooting issues.
• Contributing to documentation and knowledge base for Xometry’s AI.

Requirements:

• Experience with ML modeling techniques like transformers, self-supervised pre-training, generative modeling, and LLMs.
• Experience with large-scale data processing and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or Tensorflow.
• Ability to translate state-of-the-art approaches into real-world impact.
• Experience with containers, container orchestration, and distributed systems.
• Strong software fundamentals, including design patterns, refactoring, OOP, and testing.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
• Comfort working with SQL and/or NoSQL, database design, and data analysis.
• Experience building and consuming CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with command line and *nix systems.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering teams building large-scale ML-driven user-facing products.
• 3+ years of experience leading cross-team engineering efforts.
• Strong project management skills.
