Sr. Machine Learning Engineer

Xometry is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to elevate its machine-learning capabilities. The role involves working within a focused, highly proficient team where AI is central to the core business strategy. The engineer will have significant ownership of their work and will be encouraged to learn and code continuously.This individual will play a pivotal role within the Xometry platform, with their contributions having a considerable impact. What This Role Involves:

• Exploring new machine learning opportunities, researching, and performing proof of concepts.
• Developing and implementing machine-learning models to improve cost prediction and sourcing options.
• Leading the evaluation of emerging technologies and identifying areas for improvement.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define technical solutions.
• Monitoring machine learning models and AI performance, troubleshooting issues.
• Contributing to documentation and knowledge base.

What Xometry Is Looking For:

• Experience with state-of-the-art ML modeling techniques such as transformers and LLMs.
• Experience with large-scale data processing and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or Tensorflow.
• A cloud-native software craftsperson with hands-on experience with containers, container orchestration, and distributed systems.
• Strong software fundamentals with experience in design patterns, refactoring, OOP, and testing.
• Comfortable working with SQL and/or NoSQL, database design, and data analysis.
• Experience building and consuming CI/CD pipelines.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering teams building large-scale ML-driven products.
• 3+ years of experience leading cross-team engineering efforts.
• Strong execution skills in project management.
