Xometry is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to enhance its AI capabilities. This role involves working within a skilled team where AI is central to the business strategy. The engineer will significantly impact the Xometry platform, focusing on innovation and learning.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing machine learning models to improve cost, price, and sourcing predictions.
- Leading the evaluation of emerging AI technologies and developing proof-of-concepts.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define technical solutions.
- Monitoring machine learning model performance and troubleshooting issues.
- Contributing to documentation and knowledge base.
Requirements:
- Experience with state-of-the-art ML modeling techniques such as transformers and LLMs.
- Experience with large-scale data processing and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Ability to bridge advanced approaches to real-world impact.
- Experience with containers, container orchestration, and distributed systems.
- Strong software fundamentals, including design patterns and OOP.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
- Comfort working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience building and consuming CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with command line and *nix systems.
- 5+ years of experience in engineering teams building large-scale ML-driven products.
- 3+ years of experience leading cross-team engineering efforts.
- Strong project management skills.
