Xometry is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their software engineering organization. The candidate will work within a skilled team to improve the instant-quote product and its technology platform. The ideal candidate should thrive in a small, skilled team, taking ownership of their work and enjoying continuous learning and coding.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, coding, testing, and releasing software.
- Reading, writing, and reviewing code in HTML, Typescript/Javascript/React, Python, and Rust.
- Collaborating with engineers and product managers.
- Taking operational responsibility for team-owned services, including AWS and Kubernetes deployments and on-call rotation.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience as a software developer.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Understanding of software engineering fundamentals.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and DOM web programming.
- Proficiency in at least two of Python, Rust, and React.
- Experience with security, scalability, asynchronous programming, and transactions.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Attention to detail, good work ethic, and communication skills.
