Staff Software Engineer

Job Description

Xometry is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their software engineering organization. The candidate will work within a skilled team to improve the instant-quote product and its technology platform. The ideal candidate should thrive in a small, skilled team, taking ownership of their work and enjoying continuous learning and coding.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, coding, testing, and releasing software.
• Reading, writing, and reviewing code in HTML, Typescript/Javascript/React, Python, and Rust.
• Collaborating with engineers and product managers.
• Taking operational responsibility for team-owned services, including AWS and Kubernetes deployments and on-call rotation.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience as a software developer.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Understanding of software engineering fundamentals.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and DOM web programming.
• Proficiency in at least two of Python, Rust, and React.
• Experience with security, scalability, asynchronous programming, and transactions.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Attention to detail, good work ethic, and communication skills.
