Xometry is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and development of Thomasnet’s next-generation advertising platform. This role involves enhancing how industrial suppliers showcase their products and services, delivering unmatched value to customers.He/She will play a crucial role in designing and evolving a robust, scalable, and innovative advertising platform. The engineer will collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams. The role focuses on creating an ecosystem that enables precision-targeted ad delivery while adhering to privacy regulations, maximizing performance, and creating a seamless user experience for advertisers and users.
Responsibilities: - Lead the architecture and design of Thomasnet’s ad platform.
- Set technical direction and help establish best practices across the engineer teams.
- Design mechanisms for targeted ad delivery, real-time auction systems, and dynamic budget optimization.
- Ensure platform compliance with privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Build systems capable of handling millions of daily ad impressions and clicks.
Requirements: - 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in ad platform development or related fields.
- Strong technical expertise with programming languages like Typescript, Java, Scala or Python.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience with search related technologies such as OpenSearch.
- Familiarity with ad tech tools and standards, including DSPs, SSPs, RTB protocols, and ad-serving technologies.
- Experience and knowledge of sound software application and system level design & architecture.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
