Senior SW Backend Engineer (Alpaca team)

Job Description

Wrike is seeking a Senior SW Backend Engineer to join its Alpaca team in Nicosia. The engineer will contribute to the development of internal tooling and improvements of the product accessibility, being part of the global refactoring of the group public APIs. Wrike promotes a hybrid work mode for those that live near an office hub, with teams meeting in the office 2-3 times a week.

Role Involves:

• Internal tooling development using Java, Google PubSub, ETCD, Redis, Mybatis, Postgres, Maven
• Development of standard solutions for services for further implementation in the development process
• New features integration, prioritization and communication across multiple teams.
• APIs continuous improvement, monitoring, logging and data export stability
• Working using a classic scrum method in small teams (8-12 people) with an opportunity to grow to senior/leading position
• Daily releases, code reviews, and unit tests

Requirements:

• Expertise in Java with experience in Google PubSub, ETCD, Redis, Mybatis, Postgres, Maven.
• Advanced communication skills in English.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant SW development experience; or a Master’s degree with 5 years experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal mentorship
• Critical thinking, including in order to see the flaws in your own decisions.
