Wrike is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to join its internal team in Prague. In this role, the engineer will focus on enabling product development teams by developing internal tooling, supporting the solution's complexity, and improving code quality. The Engineer will be working in a team responsible for increasing development efficiency, reducing solution complexity, and maintaining architecture quality.

Responsibilities include:

  • Technical research to improve solution maintainability
  • Implementation of tools for maintenance and control of architecture quality
  • Refactoring code to reduce complexity
  • Developing and implementing approaches to keep architecture clean
  • Knowledge sharing to enhance developer skills

Wrike requires candidates to have:

  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant development experience
  • Java and Postgres expertise
  • Experience with improvements in software architecture and development processes
  • Advanced English communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team, argue decisions, and achieve agreements
