Wrike is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to join their internal team. The engineer will focus on developing internal tooling, supporting the solution's complexity, and improving code quality. This role offers freedom in technical decisions and the opportunity to impact the entire engineering team. The engineer will work with top developers at Wrike in a new team focused on improving development efficiency and maintaining architecture quality.

The role involves:
  • Technical research to improve solution maintainability
  • Implementing tools for maintenance and control of architecture quality
  • Refactoring architecture and code to reduce complexity
  • Developing and implementing approaches to keep architecture clean
  • Knowledge sharing to increase developer skills in technical quality and architecture

Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant development experience
  • Java and Postgres expertise
  • Experience with significant improvements in software architecture, development processes, and technical quality
  • Advanced communication skills in English
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
