Junior Test Engineer

Spektrum is seeking a Junior Test Engineer for a role based in Strasbourg, France. This role involves contributing to the European Union Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems (eu-LISA). The Junior Test Engineer will be responsible for developing test strategies, processes, and documentation, as well as performing testing activities on technical products. They will also report problems, suggest improvements, use test tools, and automate testing activities. The role requires interaction with project teams and stakeholders.

Role involves:

• Developing test strategies
• Developing test processes, procedures and documentation
• Developing test acceptance criteria
• Performing testing activities on technical products
• Reporting problems or failures leading to suggestions to improve or perfect the technical products
• Using/developing test tools and performs test automation activities
• Interacting with project teams and other stakeholders in the framework of the tests organization and activities

Required:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant education (bachelor or equivalent) after secondary school
• Minimum 3 years of relevant IT experience
• Minimum 2 years of testing experience
• International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Foundations Level exam
• Database skills (Oracle, SQL Server)
• Experience with WebLogic
• Experience with various Operating Systems (Unix variants)
• Understanding of object-oriented programming and J2EE architecture
• Knowledge of automated testing tools: WinRunner, QTP, Rational Robot, etc.
• Understanding of IP networking, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, firewalls, routers
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
• Flexibility, independence, and self-motivation
