Job Description
Spektrum is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Specialist for a role located in Strasbourg, France. This role involves working with eu-LISA, the European Union Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems. The agency supports the implementation of asylum, border management, and migration policies within the EU and is at the forefront of the EU's Justice and Home Affairs domain's digitalization efforts. The role includes designing and developing OLAP solutions, maintaining data warehouses, and developing data mining solutions.
Responsibilities include:
  • Design and development of online analytical data processing (OLAP) solutions
  • Creation and maintenance of a data warehouse
  • Gathering business requirements
  • Development of data mining solutions
  • Knowledge of Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes
  • Data modelling
  • Design and development of reporting applications
  • Physical Database (DB) design and DB performance analysis
  • Elaboration of test programs and writing technical documentation
  • Assisting with system deployment and configuration
  • Participating in project team meetings
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant education (master or equivalent) after secondary school
  • Minimum 9 years of IT professional experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Warehousing
  • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools
  • Experience with ETL tools
  • Experience with online analytical processing and data mining
  • In-depth knowledge of data warehouse architecture and relational database systems principles
  • In-depth knowledge of Structured Query Languages (SQL) and business intelligence reporting tools
  • Good knowledge of ETL tools and modelling tools
  • Good knowledge of online analytical data processing (OLAP) and data mining tools
  • Ability to cope with fast-changing technologies
  • Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings and communicate effectively
  • Capability to integrate into an international/multicultural environment
