Job Description
Spektrum is seeking a Senior IT Lawyer to join their team and support key client projects in Strasbourg, France. The role involves providing legal advice and assistance in areas associated with the procurement, provision, delivery, maintenance, and effective use of information systems and their environments, as well as IPR. The Senior IT Lawyer will work on implementing personal data management aspects in a complex IT environment, ensuring privacy by design and by default solutions for large-scale IT systems.Responsibilities include assisting with records, compliance checks, risk screening, threshold and data protection impact assessments (DPIA), developing and maintaining DPIA methodology, providing training on DPIA methodology, handling data breaches, and drafting data protection policies and procedures. The role also includes identifying gaps and contributing to the development of project plans to meet data protection requirements.**Role Involves:**
- Implementing personal data management aspects in a complex IT environment
- Ensuring privacy by design and by default solutions for the large scale IT systems
- Assisting and performing records, compliance checks, risk screening and data protection impact assessments (DPIA)
- Handling data breaches
- Drafting data protection policies and procedures
**Requirements:**
- Minimum 9 years of experience in IT law
- Knowledge and proven skills regarding contract management and large-scale IT system projects
- Good knowledge in Data Protection matters, including Privacy by Design
- Good knowledge in Intellectual Property Rights
- Proven experience of at least 8 years as a Data Protection Practitioner
- Proven experience of at least 8 years in implementing personal data management aspects in a complex IT environment
- 6 year proven experience in conducting comprehensive Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA)
- 6 year proven experience in implementing privacy enhancing technologies
- 3 year proven experience in handling data breaches
- University degree in law
- Valid EU Confidential clearance
