Job Description

Spektrum is seeking an Application Migration Engineer to support the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) in The Hague, Netherlands. The NCIA is migrating users and workloads to the public cloud, and the Application Migration Engineer will provide cloud engineering services to support the CTO-CCoE team in planning and executing application migrations.

The engineer will work under the direction of the NCIA Point of Contact and will be responsible for activities such as application assessment and analysis, technical planning and execution, testing and validation, data migration and integrity, and security and compliance. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful migrations and provide regular status updates.

Role Involves:

  • Engaging with application owners and stakeholders for technical analysis.
  • Supporting application teams in designing cloud deployments.
  • Designing and supporting data migration processes.
  • Ensuring adherence to security best practices.
  • Providing status updates on migration progress.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in planning and executing application migrations to the cloud, analyzing applications and services, Azure and AWS.
  • Experience in DevSecOps toolings such as Azure DevOps, GitLab and Jenkins and Automated Deployments using Terraform, Ansible, Azure ARM and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Experience in containerization of applications and their deployment using Kubernetes and helm charts.
  • Experience with programming languages including Java and .NET.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience with Agile planning and the Scrum methodology.
  • Language Proficiency in Business English.
  • Must have Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance.
