Job Description
Spektrum is seeking an Infrastructure Technician to support a key client project with the NATO Communications & Information Agency (NCI Agency) in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina. The technician will be responsible for service support activities at level 1, 2, and potentially level 3, within their defined competence area.Responsibilities include maintaining static and deployable communication information service capabilities, covering workspace services, end-user devices, back-end infrastructure, deployable CIS systems, and security domains or networks. The role involves working with laptops, workstations, VOIP phones, VTC systems, printers, scanners, mobile phones, uninterrupted power supplies, routers, switches, firewalls, crypto systems, servers, and various cabling and access points.
Role Responsibilities: - Responsible for service support activities at level 1, 2 service support to level 3 activities when required according to defined competence area.
Mandatory Requirements: - 3 Years Professional experience in the required area
- NATO Deployable Optical Fibre Cabling (ETF Code A0023) or equivalent certification.
- In-depth knowledge of Fibre Optical and Copper cabling regulations (including NATO related security regulations- SDIP 27, 28, 29, 30) relating to Inside and Outside Plant infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge of LAN/ WAN Topologies.
- In-depth knowledge of Fibre Optic and Copper cabling termination, maintenance and repair.
- Proficiency in use of tools and test equipment for the purpose of termination, maintenance and repair of Fibre Optic and Copper cabling LAN & WAN infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge of installation of Racks and Cabinets.
- Familiarity with LAN networking devices (hub, switch) and WAN networking devices (routers).
- National or NATO Secret Security Clearance
- Able to listen, speak, read, and write in English to or above the NATO SLP 3333 (= good/minimum professional) in accordance with STANAG 6001.
Desirable Requirements: - Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) - (Code 200-301).
- The Computing Technology Industry Association- CompTIA Network+ certification (Code N10-008).
- NATO UHF TACSAT Basic (ETF Code A0037) or equivalent certification.
- In-depth knowledge of Deployable Satellite communications and associated systems (e.g. SATCOM, VHF, UHF, HF, LOS.).
- In-depth knowledge of computer operating systems.
- NATO UHF TACSAT Applications & Database Manager (ETF Code A0038).
