Maritime Task Group (MAR TG) Subject Matter Expert (SME) Tasking

Job Description

Spektrum is seeking a Maritime Task Group (MAR TG) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support NATO Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) exercises in Stavanger, Norway. The JWC plays a critical role in preparing NATO forces for future challenges through training, doctrine development, and operational support. The SME will simulate, coordinate, and arrange opposing actors during exercise execution. They ensure realistic OPFOR force composition and mimic anticipated actions, coordinating OPFOR concepts of operations to challenge allied-partner nation actions.Role involves:

• Supporting incident development with OPFOR MAR effects
• Scripting OPFOR MAR content in JEMM
• Providing guidance to OPFOR MAR scripters
• Coordinating CAX and JTLS requirements for OPFOR MAR forces
• Advising on blue/deep water naval warfare

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years military experience in the operational Maritime domain (OF4 or above)
• Previous Command of a Maritime Task Group at OF4 level or higher.
• Staff officer qualified at a 2* or higher in MAR, JOINT, or NATO Command Structure
• Experience assessing and reading the Recognized Maritime Picture (RMP)
• Experience in NATO operational planning processes for MAR operations
• Competent in Microsoft Office suite
• Higher level Civilian, Military or Staff College Education/Degree
• Business English proficiency
• Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance
