Nation’s Ambassador or NATO Senior Civilian Representative (SCR) at Spektrum

Spektrum is seeking a Nation’s Ambassador or NATO Senior Civilian Representative (SCR) to support the NATO Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) in Stavanger, Norway. The JWC focuses on enhancing NATO's operational capabilities through training and exercises.This role involves representing the Alliance's political-military objectives. The SCR will liaise with authorities, civil society, international community representatives, and neighboring countries. The role is crucial within exercises outside NATO countries, providing expertise on the political situation and attitude of the required nation to realistically represent the exercise scenario for the training audience.Role Responsibilities:

• Provide subject matter expertise in the political situation
• Act as the focal point for the training audience
• Coordinate political and diplomatic operational matters
• Make solicited recommendations to the JWC Exercise Control team

Requirements:

• 3 years’ experience in political decision making at Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Ministry of Defence level
• 3 years’ experience in briefing senior leaders/decision makers at the governance level
• 3 years’ experience in influencing national policy making at strategic level in the represented country
• Experience as an ambassador or defense attaché in an African country and experience as a NATO representative in the last 10 years
• A University/ Bachelor’s Degree
• Business English
• Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance
