Spektrum is seeking a SATCOM Technician to support the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) in Lughezzano, Italy. The technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of satellite communication systems. He will work with baseband, RF, and antenna elements, as well as monitor and control systems. The role requires participation in daily reporting and planning activities, workshops, events, and conferences.Responsibilities include:
  • Installing and configuring satellite communication systems
  • Updating hardware and software configurations
  • Installing power, data, and fiber optic cables
  • Supporting the local power technician
  • Performing preventive maintenance tasks
  • Diagnosing and repairing system issues
  • Providing technical support to local and remote users
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience as a satellite technician
  • Good knowledge of electronic and RF measurement instruments
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • High school diploma or a degree in electronics or a related field (or 10 years of experience)
  • Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance
