Senior Advisor

Job Description

Spektrum is seeking a Senior Advisor to support the NATO Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) in Stavanger, Norway. This role involves contributing to the preparation and execution of operational phases within JWC-directed exercises. The Senior Advisor will develop strategic and operational level dilemmas, ensure training objectives are met, and generate realistic exercise material. They will also coordinate with other EXCON cells, produce meeting agendas, and update exercise documentation.Responsibilities:

• Develop strategic and operational level dilemmas for exercises.
• Ensure representation of scenario supports training objectives.
• Generate appropriate exercise material.
• Coordinate with other EXCON cells.
• Produce agendas and meeting minutes.
• Assist in developing strategic and operational level scenario documents.
• Update and amend exercise documentation.
• Monitor training audience activity and provide feedback.
• Advise Chief HICON and HICON staff.
• Assist in the production of fictitious political-military documentation.

Requirements:

• 3 years of working experience within the last 6 years in a National or NATO Command at political-military or strategic level, or in the JWC HICON team.
• Experience briefing senior leaders/decision makers.
• Ability to compose and comprehend collaborative texts in advanced English.
• In-depth knowledge of NATO's combined joint operations.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Held the rank of OF-6 or above in a NATO military position.
• Higher-level university or equivalent military education.
• Business English language proficiency.
• Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance
