Job Description
Spektrum is seeking a Special Operations Forces (SOF) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the NATO Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) in Stavanger, Norway. The JWC focuses on enhancing NATO's operational capabilities through training and exercises. This role involves simulating and coordinating opposing forces (OPFOR) during exercises, ensuring realistic force composition and actions. The SME will work within the Exercise Control (EXCON) structure, contributing to incident development, scripting, and execution phases.Responsibilities include:
- Supporting incident development by ensuring storylines incorporate appropriate SOF effects.
- Conducting OPFOR SOF actions development in the Joint Exercise Management Module (JEMM).
- Scripting OPFOR SOF content and providing SOF expertise to scripters.
- Translating guidance into deliverable plans and coordinating with other OPFOR cells.
- Analyzing and dynamically scripting amendments during execution.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience within the last 12 years in operational intelligence or special forces.
- 3 years of experience as a OF2-OF4 (or civilian equivalent) in a relevant role.
- Competency in Link Analysis databases and software applications.
- Knowledge of SOF/Hybrid threats at the strategic level.
- Experience in NATO operational planning processes for SOF operations.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Business English proficiency.
- Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance
