Targeting Subject Matter Expert - (Deliberate) at Spektrum

Spektrum is seeking a Targeting Subject Matter Expert to support the NATO Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) in Stavanger, Norway. The JWC focuses on enhancing NATO's operational capabilities through training and exercises. The expert will be part of the Exercise Control (EXCON) structure, which is crucial for delivering each full exercise cycle. EXCON staff members are drawn from various backgrounds and units including JWC staff, NATO component commands, Training Audience (TA) Headquarters, Partner Nations and other augmenters’ positions.

The Targeting Support Area is responsible for generating all targeting products, specifically in CAX, to ensure all targeting activity is arranged and in line with the Joint Plans and Schemes of Manoeuvre by both OPFOR and BLUFOR.

Responsibilities include:

• Analyzing targeting campaigns and assisting in developing strategic and operational level scenario documents.
• Providing subject matter expertise and scenario representation of targeting to training audiences.
• Coordinating RC/LOCON inputs to the training audience targeting process and producing deliberate targeting products.
• Monitoring dynamic CAX play and providing SME input on outcomes.
• Contributing to daily EXCON TGT meetings and providing SME advice.

Requirements:

• National and/or NATO trained targeteer with 3 years of operational targeting experience.
• Good knowledge of operational and tactical-level staff processes and campaign synchronization.
• Good knowledge of JTS, FAST, JCHAT, NATO CDE methodology, and targeting doctrine.
• Business English proficiency.
• Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance
