Principal Scientist, Molecular Biology Analytics - Analytical Development

Job Description

Legend Biotech is seeking a Principal Scientist to join their Analytical Development team. This role focuses on establishing and optimizing analytical methods for gene and cellular therapy products. The Principal Scientist will lead assay design, execution, and data analysis, ensuring high-quality standards and data integrity. They will also contribute to regulatory filings and method qualification activities.Role involves:

• Driving method development for molecular biology assays.
• Leading tech transfer of assays from R&D to GMP operations.
• Developing and optimizing molecular biology methods (VCN, gene editing proficiency, etc.).
• Designing and executing release, characterization, and stability assays.
• Authoring SOPs and technical reports.
• Analyzing data and presenting findings.

Requirements:

• PhD in cell/molecular biology, virology, immunology, or related field.
• 7-15 years of experience in method development of gene-modified products.
• Expertise in analytical method development and validation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Expertise in mentoring and scientific leadership.
