Engineering Manager

Job Description

PayPay, a rapidly growing FinTech company with over 69 million users, is seeking an Engineering Manager. This role involves managing a team of engineers, overseeing project timelines, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of products and projects. The Engineering Manager will also foster team evolution and individual growth, plan for future resource requirements, and participate in on-call support.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of engineers.
• Oversee project timelines and prioritize projects.
• Structure and facilitate the team’s workflow and development process.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements.
• Foster team evolution and member growth.
• Plan for future resource requirements and collaborate with hiring efforts.
• Participate in and manage the 24/7 on-call support in the team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering/Math, or relevant experience.
• 2 years of professional experience in a technical management role.
• Experience working with large-scale systems and familiarity with Java, Kotlin, Scala, Javascript/Typescript, VueJS, and AWS services.
• Knowledge of and experience working with Agile methodologies.
• Technical mindset and understanding of complex systems design.
• Bias towards action and a “Get Things Done” attitude.
• Solutions-oriented approach.
• Ability to maintain high-performance in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
