PayPay, a fintech company with over 68 million users in approximately 6 years since its launch in 2018, is seeking a new business development and service planning leader candidate. The Merchant Strategy Division is responsible for planning and promoting services that benefit both users and merchants. This includes not only payment at affiliated stores but also coupons, stamp cards, and common points (PayPay points). The division also handles new business development for merchant services from upstream to downstream, such as the development of multi-payment terminal services that allow the use of other payment methods such as credit cards in addition to PayPay payment.

Role Involves:

  • Planning and promoting new services and functions to solve the problems of member stores in a wide range of fields such as payment, sales promotion, and business support.
  • Strategic planning through merchant interviews, competitor analysis, and market research.
  • Business requirements definition in product development.
  • Project management including negotiations with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • More than 2 years of experience in planning, launching, or growing a business or service.
  • Project management experience including negotiation with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Presentation creation skills with PowerPoint/Google Slides.
  • Creation skills of simulations and graphs with Excel / Google Spreadsheets.
  • Creation skills of requirement specification or business requirement definition documents.
  • Negotiation and coordination skills with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
