Job Description

PayPay, a fintech company with over 69 million users in about 6 years since its service launch in 2018, is composed of diverse members from about 50 countries and regions. PayPay is looking for a manager to promote new value creation.

The Merchant Strategy Division is responsible for planning and promoting new business development and new services at PayPay. They leverage the business infrastructure of 69 million users and a nationwide network of加盟店 cultivated through the payment business to develop services such as coupon and stamp card加盟店 customer acquisition services, voucher issuance services led by local governments, and product sales promotion services for manufacturers. The mission is to create new value from the PayPay platform by leading everything from the concept stage to service planning, development, and growth.

Role involves:

  • Strategic planning and promotion of existing business expansion plans and new businesses, including various projects.
  • Planning and execution of business development/alliances to expand services.

Requirements:

  • Experience in business development or corporate planning at a business company.
  • Practical experience as a consultant at a management consulting firm (strategy consultant/strategy department of a comprehensive consultant).
  • Business English proficiency (desirable).
  • Experience in the cashless industry (desirable).
  • Experience in a fast-paced company (IT, venture, etc.) (desirable).
  • Experience in launching large-scale new businesses (desirable).
