Job Description

PayPay, a fintech company with over 69 million users, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Sales Strategy Division. This role involves supporting the sales department with data insights to expand the payment business, which is the revenue base of PayPay. The Data Engineer will contribute to data-driven sales by improving data accuracy, streamlining acquisition methods, and providing user-friendly analysis results to support strategic decision-making.

Role involves:

• Designing and building analytical data infrastructure using Snowflake (DWH).
• Designing and building sales analysis dashboards using Sigma (BI).
• Maintaining machine learning analysis infrastructure using Vertex AI/Data iku (AI pipeline).
• Improving the sophistication of policy analysis methods using settlement data and other external data for each member store.
• Improving the sophistication of member store analysis using machine learning models.

Requirements:

• Experience in large-scale data analysis or system development using programming languages.
• Understanding of data engineering (level at which communication with engineers is possible for infrastructure understanding).
• Development experience with SQL and BI tools: Experience with Snowflake and Sigma is desirable, but not essential.
• Experience in analyzing or implementing machine learning models.
• Experience with GCP products including BigQuery is desirable.
