PayPay, a leading fintech company with over 69 million users, is seeking an AML/CFT Risk Management professional to join their Financial Crime Management Department. This role involves analyzing big data to assess and validate the effectiveness of risk reduction measures related to financial crime and AML/CFT systems.

The Financial Crime Management Department acts as a second line of defense, addressing various financial crime risks and implementing AML/CFT measures. The team collaborates closely with other departments to identify and prevent financial crime risks.

The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of AML/CFT regulations and experience in data-driven risk analysis. They will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data to identify potential vulnerabilities in PayPay's systems and propose solutions. Effective communication and facilitation skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Validating the effectiveness of risk reduction measures through data analysis of criminal cases.
  • Conducting regular effectiveness validations of various fraud risk reduction systems.
  • Developing and executing data governance for AML/CFT-related systems.
  • Validating the effectiveness of monitoring scenarios.

Requirements:

  • Deep knowledge and experience in AML/CFT and fraud prevention laws and guidelines.
  • Experience in planning risk analysis, evaluation, and countermeasures based on quantitative data.
  • Experience analyzing big data using SQL or similar tools.
  • Business-level Japanese language proficiency (N1 or higher).
