The Data Engineer will contribute to the development and maintenance of a robust data infrastructure that enables data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency across PayPay. This role involves working with cutting-edge technologies to construct data platforms, implement efficient data pipelines, and ensure that data is readily accessible and effectively utilized by internal users.

PayPay offers fully remote work.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining data pipelines using Apache Airflow.
  • Improving query performance through SQL tuning.
  • Developing data infrastructure on cloud environments such as AWS and GCP.
  • Working with diverse data formats and modern data engineering techniques.
  • Streamlining data utilization for internal users and supporting data-driven decision-making.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a data engineer.
  • 3+ years of professional experience using Python.
  • Experience with SQL query optimization.
  • Experience developing pipelines using Apache Airflow.
  • Experience developing data infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or similar cloud environments.
  • Solid understanding of general system development practices (databases, networking, security, etc.).
  • Business-level Japanese language skills.
