Software Engineer（Backend)　

Job Description

PayPay, a FinTech company with over 69 million users, is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join their team. The company values innovation and collaboration, encouraging employees to contribute to the evolution of cashless payment systems in Japan.

This role involves developing internal systems tailored to various needs within PayPay, focusing on application design and development from front-end to back-end.

Responsibilities:

• Web application construction
• Promoting improvement measures such as automation and efficiency
• System implementation based on business requirements and design, mainly for internal departments

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in web application architecture design or Java development using object-oriented languages
• Experience developing with AWS and Spring
• Business-level Japanese language skills

Nice to have:

• Web application development and REST API implementation in one or more general-purpose programming languages
• Experience in developing and operating WEB systems using AWS
• Experience in implementing and operating test and deployment automation using CI tools
• Experience in tool development using scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, Ruby, VBScript, PowerShell, RPA, etc., and systematic maintenance and management of small-scale tools
• Experience in business design in development projects and system implementation based on business design
• Experience in introducing and improving agile development processes
• English language skills (level at which communication is possible via email and internal chat, etc.)
