Smartly is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to improve the quality of Smartly's product suite. This role is positioned at the intersection of platform engineering, quality and developer experience and impacts organization. The engineer will develop tools to validate frontend and backend performance, use AI to elevate developer experience, ensure system resiliency, as well as enhance tooling and infrastructure for functional automated testing. The Senior Software Engineer will work with the Quality Lead, Principal Engineers, and Infrastructure teams to promote engineering excellence via collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop tools that impacts product teams.
  • Incorporate AI to elevate developer experience.
  • Contribute to the codebases with spread ownership.
  • Drive the implementation and usage of the tools,.
  • Mentor members of product development teams.
  • Stay current with industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in creating development tools and infrastructure.
  • Autonomy, proactivity and the ability to unblock yourself.
  • Strong ability to explain and visualize complex concepts.
  • Ability and desire to dive into unfamiliar areas.
  • Experience with Sentry or similar tools.
  • Building scalable data storages.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid capacity from our Berlin/Helsinki office 3 days a week.
