Guardsquare is seeking a passionate Java R&D Software Engineer to join their team in Munich. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of Java and experience in a similar role. They should also be excited to solve challenging problems and build software used on billions of devices.Guardsquare develops the open-source project ProGuard and the security product DexGuard. The candidate will be part of a small international team that solves challenging problems and creates high-quality products. Every team member designs, develops, maintains and improves software and provides email support to customers. They also get the opportunity to research the latest compiler and mobile security technology.Role Involves:

• Designing, developing, maintaining, and improving software.
• Providing email support to customers.
• Researching the latest compiler and mobile security technology.

Requirements:

• Deep knowledge of Java.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience with Linux (preferred).
• Knowledge of compiler technology, obfuscation, or optimization technologies (preferred).
• Knowledge of information security (preferred).
• Experience with reverse engineering tools (preferred).
• Familiarity with Android and Android build tools (preferred).
