Web Engineer (Go/React) at Guardsquare

Guardsquare is seeking a Web Engineer to join their team in Leuven. This role involves developing and maintaining robust backends using Go, and for full-stack roles, building user-friendly frontends using React/TypeScript. The engineer will design and implement REST/GRPC APIs and collaborate with product managers and designers. They will also participate in code reviews, write tests, and improve CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate improves code base and is a disciplined and independent worker.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining backend using Go.
• Developing and maintaining frontend using React/TypeScript.
• Designing and implementing REST/GRPC APIs.
• Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other developers.
• Participating in code reviews.
• Writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Improving CI/CD pipelines.
• Improving application performance and user experience.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies.
• Supporting customers in the usage of web applications.

Requirements:

• Proven track record building web applications.
• Solid experience in backend development using Go.
• Experience in frontend development using React, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience designing and developing REST/GRPC APIs.
• Experience with databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of standard web development technologies and cloud security best practices
