Senior Software Engineer at Snyk

Snyk is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Runtime Insights Team in Tel Aviv. The Senior Software Engineer will be at the forefront of building the future of application security. The successful candidate will develop innovative solutions for capturing and analyzing runtime data to provide developers and security teams with enhanced context for vulnerability prioritization and remediation.

The role involves working closely with product managers, designers, and engineers across Snyk to build Snyk’s runtime capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Building Snyk’s runtime capabilities.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining systems to capture and process runtime data.
• Analyzing, designing and implementing high-quality solutions with well-tested, maintainable code.
• Building systems with the long-term in mind.
• Supporting customers by resolving bugs and customer support escalations.
• Designing solutions to problems which typically require multiple engineers to implement.
• Demonstrating end-to-end ownership for the delivery of key efforts.
• Providing mentorship to more junior engineers.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of commercial experience as a Software Engineer.
• Experience in large-scale software systems design.
• Proficiency in at least one of our core programming languages (Go, TypeScript).
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker and containerization, cloud providers), language runtimes and networking.
• Knowledge of different language ecosystems.
• Experience in building highly reliable, scalable microservice back-ends for web APIs or applications.
• Demonstrable skill in effective software testing.
• Strong commitment to code quality.
• Effective communicator both verbally and in writing.
• Able to work collaboratively, be curious and have a growth mindset.
• Ability to lift the performance of a team through coaching and mentoring of more junior engineers.
