Software Engineer at Snyk

Snyk is looking for a Software Engineer to join their team in Tel Aviv. The company is a developer security platform that helps teams find, prioritize, and fix security vulnerabilities in code, dependencies, containers, and cloud infrastructure. As a Software Engineer at Snyk, the candidate will be at the forefront of building the future of application security. The engineer will be challenged to create high-performance, reliable, and scalable services while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

The Role Involves:

• Building Snyk’s runtime capabilities.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining systems to capture and process runtime data.
• Analyzing, designing and implementing high-quality solutions with well-tested, maintainable code.
• Supporting customers by resolving bugs and customer support escalations.
• Designing solutions to problems which typically require multiple engineers to implement.
• Demonstrating end-to-end ownership for the delivery of key efforts.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of commercial experience as a Software Engineer.
• Proficiency in at least one of our core programming languages (Go, TypeScript).
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker and containerization, cloud providers), language runtimes and networking.
• Knowledge of different language ecosystems (compiled / interpreted / runtime-based) - compilation, runtime execution, dependencies.
• Demonstrable skill in effective software testing.
• Strong commitment to code quality.
• Effective communicator both verbally and in writing.
• Able to work collaboratively, be curious and have a growth mindset.
• Ability to lift the performance of a team through coaching and mentoring of more junior engineers.
