Staff Software Engineer at Snyk

Snyk is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their team in Tel Aviv. Snyk is a developer security platform that empowers development teams to find and fix security vulnerabilities. This role involves creating high-performance, reliable, and scalable services while collaborating with cross-functional teams.Snyk's Runtime Insights Team enhances Snyk's products by leveraging runtime data. The role focuses on developing innovative solutions for capturing and analyzing runtime data to provide developers and security teams with context for vulnerability prioritization and remediation.Responsibilities:

• Proactively identify and design improvements to the system.
• Tackle ambiguous design choices.
• Mentor team members.
• Resolve conflicts with other groups.
• Assure internal SLOs are met.
• Drive improvements to stability, performance, and security.
• Actively engage in coding and collaboration.
• Build trust between teammates and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Experience with Typescript, Go, or a similar language.
• At least 10 years of software engineering experience with leadership and mentoring responsibilities.
• Understanding of automated testing and code quality.
• Prioritization of collaboration and code reviews.
• Ability to deliver high-quality code using continuous delivery.
• Comfort working across the stack as part of a cross-functional team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Promotion of testing as a natural part of coding.
