Bloomreach is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its Analytics team. The successful candidate will manage the company's in-memory database (IMF) and related services, ensuring system availability, reliability, and performance. This role involves working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, Kafka, MongoDB, and other services. The team operates remotely within the Central European Time Zone, with office locations available in Brno (Czechia) and Bratislava (Slovakia).

Responsibilities:

  • System Administration: Manage and configure Kubernetes components.
  • Incident Management: Handle incident responses and root cause analysis. Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Automation and Tools Development: Create and maintain scripts and tools using Python and Go.
  • Scaling and Resource Planning: Monitor system performance and plan for future scaling.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Set up and maintain systems to monitor and log activities.
  • Backup and Recovery: Ensure reliable database backups and efficient recovery tools.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and product managers.

Requirements:

  • Experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitLab or similar.
  • Good at automating tasks and scripting with Python, Go, or Shell.
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Victoria Metrics and Grafana.
  • Familiarity with logging tools.
  • Good at analyzing issues and finding solutions.
  • Strong communication skills for remote teams.
  • Adaptability and ability to manage multiple tasks.
