Awin is seeking a PHP Software Engineer to join their Advertiser Tribe, a team focused on building custom solutions for clients. The engineer will work on extending and maintaining Awin's Affiliate Marketing platform within a cross-functional, service-oriented team. They will be responsible for writing clean, secure, and well-tested code, following best practices, and improving existing guidelines. The role involves working through the entire lifecycle of a service or product, from requirements to deployment and maintenance.

Role involves:
  • Working within a small team using Agile methodologies.
  • Improving existing applications and building solutions from scratch.
  • Developing code and contributing to reviews, retrospectives, and planning sessions.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely fashion.
  • Communicating effectively with local and remote team members.

Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of commercial Software Engineering experience.
  • Experience with PHP, ideally with Symfony.
  • Basic understanding of Java and related frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.).
  • Experience with relational databases like MySQL or MariaDB.
  • Familiarity with Agile processes.
  • Passion for writing elegant code with a good understanding of SOLID, design principles, and OOP.
  • Understanding of basic Data Structures and Algorithms.
