Job Description
Appian is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to join their Customer Success Public Sector team in McLean, Virginia. This role involves engaging with customers post-sales to develop software solutions on the Appian platform. The consultant will help lead projects throughout the entire project life-cycle, defining, designing, developing, and implementing custom software solutions using Appian’s low-code platform.

Responsibilities:
  • Leading projects and working through the entire project life-cycle.
  • Defining, designing, developing, and implementing custom software solutions using Appian’s low-code platform.
  • Working within an agile environment to understand client’s business processes and technical needs.
  • Launching new relational data models in production.
  • Developing APIs to integrate with multiple systems.
  • Leading/mentoring consultants through fast-paced software implementations.
  • Collaborating with client’s technical teams and business users.
  • Driving adoption by empowering clients to become self-sufficient.

Requirements:
  • Passion for mentoring/developing others and experience leading small teams.
  • Ability to work with clients to define business processes and gather requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Experience working with relational databases and SQL skills.
  • Knowledge of software testing practices.
  • Integrations experience using APIs.
  • Active Government Clearance (Top Secret or higher).
  • 3+ years of experience with software development or technical consulting.
  • B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Willingness to travel (10% or less annually).
