Job Description
Appian is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to join their Customer Success Public Sector team in McLean, Virginia. This role involves engaging with customers post-sales to develop software solutions on the Appian platform. The consultant will help lead projects throughout the entire project life-cycle, defining, designing, developing, and implementing custom software solutions using Appian’s low-code platform.
Responsibilities:
- Leading projects and working through the entire project life-cycle.
- Defining, designing, developing, and implementing custom software solutions using Appian’s low-code platform.
- Working within an agile environment to understand client’s business processes and technical needs.
- Launching new relational data models in production.
- Developing APIs to integrate with multiple systems.
- Leading/mentoring consultants through fast-paced software implementations.
- Collaborating with client’s technical teams and business users.
- Driving adoption by empowering clients to become self-sufficient.
Requirements:
- Passion for mentoring/developing others and experience leading small teams.
- Ability to work with clients to define business processes and gather requirements.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL skills.
- Knowledge of software testing practices.
- Integrations experience using APIs.
- Active Government Clearance (Top Secret or higher).
- 3+ years of experience with software development or technical consulting.
- B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Willingness to travel (10% or less annually).
