Job Description
The Sales Executive role at dmg events is based in Calgary, Canada. The company is looking for sales professional to join its team. The role focuses on retention and growth of assigned accounts and generating new business, by closing small to high-value deals across the energy sector.

Role involves:
  • Selling event, ad, and sponsorship solutions.
  • Soliciting new clients for trade shows.
  • Making cold calls (30+ daily).
  • Researching prospects for business development.
  • Participating in sales meetings.
  • Weekly sales activity reporting.
  • Cross-selling across the dmg portfolio.
  • Building client relationships via face-to-face meetings.
  • Allocating exhibition space based on client needs.
  • Entering contracts into Salesforce.
  • Tracking sales plans and targets in Salesforce.
  • Participating in industry events.
  • Assisting with move-in/out and floor management.
  • Ensuring high sales & customer service standards.

Requirements:
  • Experience in exhibition, sponsorship, or media sales.
  • 2-4 years in B2B conference and exhibition sponsorship sales.
  • Strong sales skills (lead generation, cold calling, CRM, proposals).
  • Experience in the energy market (bonus).
  • Target-driven with a positive attitude.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with coaching skills.
  • Emotional intelligence for client approach.
