Staff Security Engineer

Job Description

Stensul is seeking a Staff Security Engineer to secure company assets. The role involves taking proactive measures, identifying vulnerabilities, deploying protective technologies, and responding to incidents. The engineer will collaborate with peers and deploy solutions that maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of sensitive information and systems.Role responsibilities include:

• Planning, developing, implementing, and updating the company’s information security strategy for infrastructure and software development.
• Developing, executing, and tracking the performance of security measures.
• Identifying, defining, and documenting system security requirements.
• Configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining security infrastructure, software, andhardware
• Installing software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions.
• Monitoring systems for irregular behavior.
• Educating and training staff on information system security best practices.
• Ensuring processes are followed and effective technical feasibility analysis is conducted when developing solutions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in system security engineering, network security, or a related field.
• Knowledge of security principles, best practices, and industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
• Hands-on experience with security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, antivirus, vulnerability scanning).
• Experience with risk assessment, penetration testing, and incident response methodologies.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing/switching).
• Familiarity with security-related regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
• Advanced English (Level B2 or higher).
