Semi Senior Data Engineer at Stensul

Stensul is seeking a Semi Senior Data Engineer to lead the building of a new business intelligence data stack. The ideal candidate will design and implement data pipelines, data warehouses, data models, and data analytics solutions to serve internal users. This role involves technical discussions and decisions to generate high-quality business and product insights, enabling the company to make informed decisions.Stensul values agile methodologies and continuous improvement, offering opportunities for growth in a collaborative environment.Responsibilities include:

• Working with roughly defined requirements.
• Building the infrastructure to enable self-serving of insights.
• Collaborating with other business areas to understand user needs.
• Implementing analytics solutions to provide actionable insights.

• Owning and leading initiatives from inception to delivery.
• Proactively adding positive energy to the company.

Requirements:

• Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
• Experience with GCP cloud services: Dataflow, GCS, BigQuery, GKE, etc.
• Experience with orchestration tools: Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, etc.
• Experience building ‘big data’ pipelines with tools like: Databricks Workflows, DBT, SQLMesh.
• Knowledge of data fundamentals theories.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases including Postgres and MongoDB.
• Knowledge of data lake and data warehousing solutions.
• Knowledge of stream-processing systems.
• Knowledge of object-oriented/object function scripting languages.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
