Indirect Tax Manager at Too Good To Go

Too Good To Go is seeking an Indirect Tax Manager to oversee all indirect tax matters, including VAT/GST, sales tax, excise duties, and related fields. The Indirect Tax Manager will be responsible for their own portfolio of indirect tax projects and provide first-line support to account teams and business segments. This role offers a high degree of autonomy and the opportunity to make a real impact, reporting to the Head of Tax and being part of the Global Finance team.

Role Involves:

• Acting as an internal advisor on indirect tax matters.
• Working closely with internal tech engineers to maintain and develop procedures for correct remittance of VAT/GST and sales tax on the TGTG Marketplace.
• Developing and maintaining solid procedures for VAT and excise duties in relation to Too Good To Go Parcels (consumer sales of dry goods and beverages).
• Providing indirect tax support to account teams and in relation to expansions to new markets and geographies.
• Monitoring and communicating legislative developments in the indirect tax space with relevance to TGTG.
• Supporting on requests from tax authorities and indirect tax audits.
• Handling ad hoc tasks to support the development of Finance, Tax, and the business.

Requirements:

• Relevant master’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or similar.
• Proven track record within indirect taxes and an operational approach to problem-solving.
• Experience with VAT and/or excise duties from consulting, the tax administration, or as an in-house advisor.
• Experience with US/CA sales taxes is an advantage but not a requirement.
• Full working proficiency in English.
• Analytical mindset.
• A can-do attitude to problem-solving.
