Senior Software Engineer in Test I - Billings Team

Job Description

SurveyMonkey is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test I to join their Billings Team in Bengaluru. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of SurveyMonkey's global payments and billing systems, with a focus on providing a secure checkout experience for customers.

The Senior Software Engineer in Test I will collaborate with a multinational engineering team, participating in the planning of upcoming development work, manually testing new features, and creating test plans. They will also be responsible for identifying and reporting bugs, testing bug fixes, and validating releases to production.

What this role involves:

• Testing features end-to-end.
• Developing test plans specific to features.
• Writing E2E test plans for large feature development.
• Managing time and prioritizing test cases.
• Testing and verifying changes on staging before production release.
• Collaborating with product and engineering stakeholders.
• Automating test cases into the existing testing framework.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with proficiency in manual and automation testing.
• Experience testing and releasing web applications to production.
• Experience gathering feature requirements, defining test plans, and filing bugs.
• Experience testing REST APIs.
• Ability to manually test across browsers and use developer consoles.
• Experience writing automation test cases using frameworks such as pytest, WebdriverIO.
• Experience with Git or another VCS.
• Write automation test suites in Javascript
