International Accountant at SurveyMonkey

SurveyMonkey is seeking a diligent and technically-savvy International Accountant to join their finance department in Dublin. This role is crucial for supporting the company's month-end close and day-to-day international accounting operations. The International Accountant will report to the International Accounting Manager and collaborate with global team members. SurveyMonkey believes in in-person collaboration for building relationships, fostering community, and enhancing speed and execution, and as such employee will be required to work from a SurveyMonkey office up to 1 day per week.

What this role involves:

• Ownership of month-end accounting close activities for international entities.
• Preparation of monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis.
• Liaising with internal departments (FP&A, Tax, Legal) to ensure accuracy of accounts.
• Liaising with outsourced service providers for international entities.
• Ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• Assisting with statutory audits and local compliance filing requirements.
• Assisting in year-end financial statement preparation and ongoing finance projects.

Requirements include:

• Newly qualified accountant or at final stages of qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA).
• 3-4 years' relevant experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail with an ability to work efficiently and accurately.
• High energy level, with a demonstrable hands-on approach.
• Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exposure to NetSuite ERP system a plus.
• Experience with indirect tax filings (VAT, GST, etc) a plus.
