Interactive Brokers is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in Greenwich, CT. This is a hybrid role, requiring three days in the office and two days remote. The Senior Accountant will report to the Director of Accounting and will be responsible for accounting and financial analysis for certain legal entities of the Group. They will also play a significant role in developing and maintaining the accounting system and process improvements. Interactive Brokers offers an opportunity for career growth and is looking for organized and analytical thinker interested in efficiently developing and monitoring financial controls.
Responsibilities:
- Daily accounting monitoring, P&L analysis, and reporting.
- Month-end close processes.
- Analysis of monthly financial results.
- Preparation of annual audited financial statements.
- Identifying and implementing accounting for new standards and business initiatives.
- Improving and automating accounting controls and processes.
Requirements:
- Minimum five years of working experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Proficiency in MS-Excel.
- High attention to detail.
- CPA or in the process of becoming a CPA (Preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Access, Excel Macros and Power Query (Preferred).
- Brokerage experience (Preferred).
- Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with minimal supervision
- Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
