Staff Systems Engineer - AI Integrations and Automation

Job Description

Reddit is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer - AI Integrations and Automation to join their Corporate Engineering team. This role focuses on AI integrations, governance, and security, ensuring seamless connectivity between platforms and Generative AI tools. The Staff Systems Engineer will play a key role in shaping Reddit's Generative AI tool governance, establishing a platform-first approach to Agent and Tool creation with Generative AI, and driving forward what corporate AI can do for teams across the company. This position will design and implement process and policy around the role of Generative AI within Reddit's software stack, with a careful eye to balancing risk while still driving enablement of the business.Reddit is looking for someone with a proven track record of integrating with SaaS vendors and improving efficiency through automation. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, be a strong team player, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain third-party software integrations.
• Create and implement governance policies for introducing and integrating Generative AI tools.
• Assess and provide technical guidance and support to teams.
• Collaborate with Security Engineering, Legal, Privacy, and Support teams.
• Find and implement internal process and automation enhancements.
• Serve as an escalation point for the global Corporate Engineering support operations team.
• Help grow and mentor the global Corporate Engineering team.
• Independently own and drive multiple projects and deliverables for the team.
• Take part in evaluating, recruiting, hiring, and developing team members.

Requirements:

• 7+ years in an IT Engineering, Security, Data Engineering, or IT Systems Administration role.
• Experience building and deploying Generative AI and LLM-backed tools.
• Proven ability to design and implement microservices, manage APIs, and build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of identity and access management (IAM) concepts and protocols.
• Hands-on experience with Okta or similar identity providers.
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.
